Level 3 Featured Red Wines: |
Colle Lungo, Chianti Classico, Riserva, Italy, 1999, $35.99
Dark crushed cherry, tar and brown sugar nose. This wine has a lively palate of leather, tar and more dark fruit. A very nice complex wine with a long finish. The perfect food match is Chianti Braised Short Ribs.

Convento Oreja, Ribera del Duero, Spain, 2005, $23.99
Deep black plum color with violet tones. Ripe fruit on the nose, mostly blackberries and raspberries, intermingled with hints of spice and leather. This one is for keeping in your cellar. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 8-10 years.

Chateau Karantes, La Clape, Languedoc, France, 2005, $21.99
This delicious wine presents notes of ripe plums and cherries. The nose portrays typical Grenache character with caramel, tobacco and toasted accents. The mouth is well balanced, round and supple. Try this with a turkey breast and mushroom risotto. 92 Points Wine Spectator

Level 3 Featured White Wines: |
Jean Manciat, Macon Charnay, Bourgogne, France, 2006, $21.99
This is the purest expression of Chardonnay, lovely pear and citrus flavors with a creamy mouth feel and a bright, tingly, lip-smacking, pour-me-another-glass finish. We tried thus with baked walleye in a lemon butter and it was great!
|
Domaine Millet, Sancerre, Loire, France, 2006, 21.99 With its intense aromas of lime-peel and nectarine, underscored by chalky minerality, the flavors are bright, fresh, and clean. While the wine tastes lovely on its own, it is hugely versatile and will pair with your favorite summer salad.
|
La Tunella, Pinot Grigio, Italy, 2007, 25.99 The bouquet is full of rich tropical fruits and acacia flowers. Robust, full-bodied to the palate and moderately acidic this wine combines well with the pleasant hint of vanilla as a result of the French oak barrels. This wine would match nicely with pasta primavera.
