  • Every cask used in this incomparable single malt Scotch whisky is personally nosed and tasted by our expert Malt Master, ensuring the whisky achieves its rich character and seductive complexity. Only casks that pass his exacting standards are handpicked and then married together to achieve their final sublime harmony. This process ensures the unique character and richness of taste that sets our Glenfiddich 30 Year Old apart. The rarity of this single malt is unquestionable – there are only ever a handful of vattings of 30 Year Old a year.
  • The nose is thick and rich. There are notes of chewy sultanas and morello cherry, notes of dried herbs and cooked fruits with apple crumble and a balanced acidity. There are notes of crème de cacao. The palate is thick and smooth. There are notes of sherried peels and sultanas, chewy toffee and walnut, dried fruits emerge with a juicy touch. The finish is long and rich with winter spice.

  • The Lost Blend from Compass Box is comprised of 2 unpeated Highland whiskies, coming from the Clynelish and Allt-á-Bhainne distilleries, and a peated whisky from the Caol Ila distillery on Islay. It has been named in honour of a past Compass Box expression, Eleuthera, which has been lost to the ravages of time, and also shares a name with a 1907 story by O. Henry about two bartenders trying to remember and recreate a blend of spirits which possessed almost supernatural qualities. For the Lost Blend, Compass Box have created three different labels, all based around a theme of lost things, like keys, books and shoes (it happens). So please be aware, your label might not look exactly like this one.
  • Those extra four years give Oban 18-Year-Old a rounder, more developed flavor. The sweeter notes such as banana and toasted teacake, found subtly in Oban 14-Year-Old,are amplified. This means there is an overarching consistency between batches.
