  • Aged a minimum of 10 years, Whistle Pig Straight Rye Whiskey is a 100 proof, 100 percent rye whiskey hand bottled on a former dairy farm in Shoreham, Vermont. Founded in 2010, the WhistlePig Farm Distillery operates under the watchful eyes of Master Distiller Dave Pickerell, who formerly spent 14 years as the Master Distiller at Maker's Mark, and its proprietor Raj Peter Bhakta, who plans to grow organic rye on the farm for use in future batches. On the nose, WhistlePig Rye displays bold, complex aromas of allspice, ginger, nutmeg, clove, orange peel, and anise which are complemented by notes of charred oak, caramel, and a hint of honey. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, sweet, warming notes of caramel and vanilla are followed by rye-spice and mint flavors, which blend seamlessly butterscotch and dark chocolate on the crisp, creamy finish.
  • Seattle's single malt sensation Westland Distillery is back with a new expression aged in sherry that mimics some of the finest and most beloved Speyside malts from Scotland's Highland region. In the style of Macallan or Glenfarclas, the supple, soft, fudgy, cocoa flavors are more pronounced from the sherry maturation and the richness of the palate is enhanced beyond what we've seen in the standard Westland ex pression. It's a more decadent version of what we already love about America's top single malt distillery and an exciting glimpse into what's promising to be a very bright future.
  • Aged in a variety of used American oak and sherry casks. Modestly peated, this would be an appropriate introduction to this smoky style of whiskey making. The nose has a bit of a menthol edge to it, perhaps a remnant of the original spirit’s minty edge. The palate is mild with smoke, more barbecue than coal fire, with overtones of red fruit and cloves. The smoke lingers, but not for long, making for a pleasant and gentle winter warmer that doesn’t require an extreme amount of deep thought.

It has been named in honour of a past Compass Box expression, Eleuthera, which has been lost to the ravages of time, and also shares a name with a 1907 story by O. Henry about two bartenders trying to remember and recreate a blend of spirits which possessed almost supernatural qualities. For the Lost Blend, Compass Box have created three different labels, all based around a theme of lost things, like keys, books and shoes (it happens).
